There will be a mandatory Baseball Parent Meeting on Monday (01/24) at 7:00pm in the Cafeteria—please go to the back of the school and enter at the gate (West) entrance into the cafeteria—the purpose of the meeting is for the staff to meet and visit with everyone that we haven’t met yet—we want to open a line of communication, discuss a few program policies and expectations, and answer general questions that you may have about any of this—it is very important that at least one parent/guardian of all players attend this meeting. Thank you, Coach Hutto

Due to multiple teams dropping out of our Junior High Basketball Tournament scheduled for tomorrow (due to COVID closures in other districts), the district made the difficult decision to cancel the tournament. We hope to host another tournament again next year. The varsity games scheduled for tonight in Hawkins are taking place as scheduled.

Big Sandy ISD is still waiting to hear from the city regarding its lifting of the boil notice. However, the district has developed a plan to keep our kids safe in school tomorrow. Therefore the district will have school on Friday morning. If possible, please send your student with one or two water bottles, as our drinking fountains will be out of order. We will also have a limited amount of water for students who need it. In addition, our cafeteria will take all precautions to make sure student food is safe. Again, our student safety is our number one concern, and all precautions have taken place to ensure that.

Good Morning. Due to a water line break overnight, the City has issued a Boil Notice for all residents and business. Big Sandy ISD does not have enough bottled water to supply students with hydration throughout the day. Out of an abundance of caution for the safety of our students, all classes will be canceled for the day. School will resume tomorrow morning.
