This is our first year to have a Robotics class at BSHS, and the student's hard work has paid off already! This week students participated in a Vex robotics competition; the students started building and programming with Vex in January, and they have made huge strides. We have some amazing students at BSHS and when given opportunities, they will ROAR!
Students traveled to The Greg County Historical Museum for a competition sponsored by Komatsu. They competed along with over 11 different teams from Pine Tree High School. I am beyond proud to say that our students showed up and showed out! Yesterday around noon, we were told that the challenge we had originally planned and prepared for was changed. Our kids scrambled to rebuild and reprogram their robots! Students finished their builds and programs before we left this morning for the competition. Once the competition began, our students rallied to help each other adjust where needed.
Ultimately, they brought home 2nd and 3rd place and some money for our Robotics program!
