JH Student of the Month

Bailee Baylus

Congratulations to our Big Sandy JH Student of the Month, Miss Bailee Baylus.

Bailee Baylus! She is a ball of sunshine. Always smiling, always a positive vibe in the room. In Keyboarding, Bailee has excelled! She's in the Top 3 of students at speed, typing 56 words a minute without looking at her keys, way above the industry standard of 40 wpm. I absolutely love how she comes in every day, seemingly on tip-toes (!), psyched up for pushing herself to type faster. Her competitiveness and enthusiasm bleeds onto others and inspires them to stretch themselves. Though at times she appears shy, she contributes to class discussions, and is even known to practice cheers and even do some line-dancing during our 5 minute breaks between typing. I could describe her as a happy, quiet, outgoing, self-starter; a risk-taker, challenge-seeking, wonderful girl that brings joy to my class every day. She's a great example of our Wildcat Spirit!

Brianna Pullum

Congratulations to the Big Sandy HS Student of the Month, Miss Brianna Pullum.

Brianna Pullum is an outstanding student who represents our school with pride by consistently helping others and offering support whenever it’s needed. She demonstrates strong leadership through her involvement in cheerleading, athletics, excels in our Health Science program, and is a member of the student council. Brianna continually goes above and beyond in everything she does and greets everyone in the hall with a smile. - Mrs. Fields-Ward
