Hello, and welcome to a new school year at Big Sandy ISD.  I am glad you have taken the time to check us out on the web.  The 2009 – 2010 school year is here and we are very excited.  Once again this year’s motto is “Big Sandy ISD…Higher Expectations for ALL”.   

As each of you are well aware we are experiencing some exciting yet challenging times at Big Sandy.  Construction on our Bond Issue is underway.  We anticipated issues from the beginning and are now seeing our solutions in action.  We believe making Wildcat Dr. one way will be very beneficial to all concerned.  Traffic flow is a huge issue at Big Sandy and we believe this is the best option for a smooth flow.  Entrances to the school have also change this year, you can reference the district map and see where you may enter the school during school hours.  We appreciate each of you cooperating and helping this district strive to reach the next level of excellence.   

We are very fortunate at Big Sandy to have the number of outstanding students that walk the hallways each day.  It is a privilege for me as well as our staff to educate tomorrow’s leaders.  I challenge each parent, student, staff member and community member to reach out and be active in the district activities.  Big Sandy has numerous programs, clubs, and activities for our students, please come out and support, encourage, and cheer for our student’s success.  Once again thank you for visiting us and we are excited about the new school year.
