Hello, and welcome to Big Sandy ISD’s web-site.  I am glad you have taken the time to check us out on the web.  The 2008 – 2009 school year is here and we are very excited.  This year’s motto is “Big Sandy ISD…Higher Expectations for ALL”.  This is truly how each of us must think on a daily basis to get the most from ourselves.  As the leader of this district I must have high expectations for the entire staff and student body; however, it goes beyond that, we must also have high expectations from ourselves as parents.  At Big Sandy we are no longer going to accept just being “acceptable”, we are striving to be “recognized”. There are many new faces this year on our campuses, so I encourage and welcome you to come meet our staff and get involved in the education of our children at Big Sandy.

We are very fortunate at Big Sandy to have the number of outstanding students that walk the hallways each day.  It is a privilege for me as well as our staff to educate tomorrow’s leaders.  I challenge each parent, student, staff member and community member to reach out and be active in the district activities.  Big Sandy has numerous programs, clubs, and activities for our students, please come out and support, encourage, and cheer for our student’s success.  Once again thank you for visiting us and we are excited about the new school year.
