My name is Brenda Dotson and I am the Title 1 Reading Specialist for the elementary campus. This will be my thirteenth year as a teacher in Big Sandy! Thank you for sharing your children with me! I will do my best to love, nurture, and teach them as they prepare for their educational future!
I received my associates degree from Kilgore College and my bachelors degree from the University of Texas. I am currently working on my masters degree as an educational diagnostician at the University of Texas at Tyler.
I have been married to Mark Dotson (who attended school at Big Sandy) for the last 29 years. I am the mother of two wonderful children. My daughter, Melissa, graduated from Big Sandy High, Kilgore College, and the University of Texas at Tyler. She is currently working on her master's degree at the University of Texas at Tyler. She is a history major and hopes to complete her doctorate work in Scotland. My son, Joshua, graduated from Big Sandy High and has begun his college career at Kilgore College. He has decided to take some auto-body classes as he works on his associates degree! Maybe he can help Mark out with a paint job on our 1968 RS/SS Camaro convertible one day!
