Happy New Year!  Welcome back to school. As you know, Mr. Byron Jordan, Junior High Principal, was hired as Superintendent at Mt. Enterprise I.S.D. so did not return to Big Sandy after the holiday break. Mr. Scott Beene, Superintendent; Mr. Lance Morrow, Elementary Assistant Principal; and Mrs. Machelle Robbins, Director of Curriculum and Special Programs will be serving in an administrative capacity for the Junior High for the remainder of the school year.

Our new semester begins Wednesday, January 18. This is a great time for students to refocus their efforts and energy and to get a fresh start on classes and grades. Please communicate regularly with your child’s teachers to ensure your child stays on track for the remainder of the school year. The curriculum at Big Sandy Junior High is rigorous and we do expect more from your child, therefore, it is important your child complete all assignments and turn them in on time. We will be conducting more after school tutorials to further help the students and transportation will be provided for those students needing rides home. Our goal is to provide your child with the best education possible and we are committed to ensuring every child is successful!
