Big Sandy High School community:

The annual PTO Coronation is scheduled for February 6; we also have senior night basketball games that evening. Both were scheduled at the end of last year. While we don’t have a perfect win-win, we are talking about what we can change to uphold the PTO Coronation tradition with the support of the high school as well as have a memorable and well-attended senior night for the basketball teams.  Stay tuned for a resolution. Just wanted you to know we’re aware and working on the solution.

Meanwhile, we are working on using our Google calendars more efficiently so that perhaps we can avoid such conflicts in the future. Thanks to Moriah Phillips and Jeffrey Settle for your investment of time and skill to improve how BSHS operates.

Prom will be here before we know it. We want to provide the dress code now, since the young ladies are probably already dreaming of the perfect dress. Our goal is elegant and classy, as is fitting for this formal occasion; those memories and photos are forever.  The dress code is provided here: http://s3.amazonaws.com/scschoolfiles/232/prom_dress_code_2016.docx  Happy shopping!!!

For my weekly newsletter, please click on “Wildcat Weekly” down the left side of the screen and choose the most recent edition. The January 11 edition has information about PSAT in the sophomore and freshman sections. As always, a weekly calendar is included that might be helpful for you in the community.

By the way, I *love* getting to work with your kids in your school every day.  Thank you for affording me that opportunity, for sharing your kids, and for being involved in Big Sandy so your kids have a great place to learn and grow.

Go Wildcats,
Dr. Bauter
