2009 Yamboree and Harvest Festaval

 

Yamboree  - Turned in 72 total entries this year from Big Sandy FFA. 

Swine – 5 made sale out of 92 entries.  Top 30 sale-   Cameron Hitt, Matt McKinley, Amber Beal, Samantha Anderson, and Justin Robertson

      Cameron was the Sr. Showmanship Champion.

Goat Show- Entered 4 from Big Sandy out of 83 total Yamboree entries

3 made the top twenty sale lots- Matt Robinson, Hailee Sigler, Matt McKinley

Broiler Show- Entered 3 pens from Big Sandy out of 118 total pens at the show we placed two in the top ten-   JW Howell,  Zach Pichette.

Rabbit Show- Entered 4 pens from Big Sandy out of 83 entries the top twenty make sale

      Sale lots-  Ashley Brown, Skylar Barrilleaux

Shop Project Show- We took 17 entries, received 16 blue ribbons.   Placed 10 projects in the top 5 of each division and won overall Grand Champion Livestock Equipment with a chicken coop built by James Ellis and Hailee Sigler.

 Beef Cattle Show-  won 4 Grand Champions,  5 Reserve Grands, and Senior Division Showmanship won    b y  Bailee McDonald.  Also had 14 class winners. 

 Harvest Festival

Swine- Becky Roper made sale she was 7^th overall out of 123 entries this year.

Rabbits- Austin Lee made sale was 6^th overall out of 84 entries this year.

Broilers- JW Howell made sale was 5^th overall out of 30 entries this year.

Goats- Terry Caldwell made sale was 7^th overall out of 78 entries this year.

Beef Cattle- JW Howell won Breed Champion and Division Breed Champion

  Cameron Hitt won Breed Champion and Reserve Breed Champion

  Justin Robertson won two Breed Champions and Division Champion

  Bailee McDonald won Grand Champion Showmanship and Breed Champion

   Kacie Brown won Breed Champion and Reserve Division Champion

                    Matt Mckinley was second in class. 

Total Sales from both shows for the students topped $20,500.00!
