Taco Luncheon Fundraiser a Big Success

On Wednesday, January 30th Mrs. Abner's class had a luncheon fundraiser to raise money for a special end of the year field trip and their prom.  They cooked for 42 teachers and faculty staff.  The kids did all the cooking and serving.  Mrs. Overton’s students paired up with Abner's students during 2nd, 3rd and 4th period and cooked taco’s with all the trimmings, refried beans, Spanish rice, hot fudge pudding cake and apple dumplings for dessert.  We had tons of positive feedback.  The teachers were very impressed with the generous portions and how delicious the meal and desserts were.  The kids worked in all areas of the fundraiser, from taking money and making change, serving the food, cutting up vegetables and cooking.  We want to thank all the teachers and faculty from Big Sandy and UCSSA that participated in our fundraiser.
