Ladycats Finish Off a Great Season

Yamboree Contestants The Big Sandy Ladycats finished their season with a 27-8 record for the year. The Ladycats won silver bracket at Gilmer, and finished 3rd in the Arp Tournament. We finished in the district with a 10-2 record and were the district runner up for 2007. This advanced the Ladycats to the 2007 playoffs. In the Bi-District game, we matched up with Queen City and won in 4 games. The next round was the area where we played the Prairiland Patriots and won in 3 games. The next round was the regional quarterfinals and we met up with the New Boston Lions. We played 4 games and lost to a great team. We had two senior girls who will be deeply missed next year: Kaila Johnson - setter and Britnee McCleveland - defense and outside hitter. We wish these girls the best of luck for their future.
