Give me a lever long enough and a fulcrum on which to place it, and I shall move the world. - Archimedes

Safety

Safety in the science classroom is a priority!  All students are expected to know and practice safe science at all times.

All students as a practice of good faith are to sign and turn in a Safety Contract before any lab activities are done.

A copy of the Safety Contract can be found Here.

Safety precautions will be:

  • Given orally
  • Written on the activity handouts

Safety rules and guidelines for the state of Texas can be found HERE

Be sure that you can locate the following pieces of equipment in our science classroom.

Fire Extinguisher

Fire Blanket

Eyewash & Emergency Shower

Safety Goggle Cabinet
