Discipline Plan:
The discipline plan I use is based upon a set of colors for each child. The beginning of each day all students will start out with the same color. If a student is displaying negative behavior, he/she must pull their color in the front to reveal another color reflecting the behavior of the student. The color chart not only helps to communicate behavior for the day, but it also has the children physically doing something to help them realize a poor choice may have been made. I will always try to discuss with each student what happened and what can be done differently when having them pull their color. Each child will start out the day on green. The following are the list of meanings for each color.
Green- Excellent Behavior (Great Job)J
Yellow- Warning
Red- Unacceptable behavior
· If a student pulls their card to red I will send a note home that day describing the problem.
