Updates as of
January 15, 2010 - hey started
around 11:00 am on Monday on the front of the school with a block
wall that ran from JH to the auditorium on the inside of the
building. Tuesday and Wednesday the crew moved to the back of the
school and finished the brick work on the science lab and continued
laying split face block and brick on the elementary addition.
Updates as of
December 11, 2009 -This
past week was mostly mason and A/C work on the construction. The A/C
contractor completed installing the duct work in the science labs
and installed new curbs on the roof for the A/C units to sit on and
installed the units. Masonry is completed in the science area and
the steel erectors are scheduled to be here next Wednesday to start
installing the roof joist and decking on the Elementary addition and
the science room.

December 4, 2009 - This week construction crews started
installing duct work to prepare for Ac units for science labs. The
electricians and plumbers have worked all week they have completed the
water lines and started connecting the gas connections. The
electricians have also been pulling wire. The masonry crews have
completed the block work at science labs.
Roofing crews will be here Monday to
install roof joist and decking.
Updates as of
November 13, 2009 - Plumbers and
electricians were able to button up some lose ends. Plumbers
connected water pipe and gas lines while electricians ran conduit
for lighting.
Updates as of
November 6, 2009 - Plumbers, electricians and masons were
able to work in there all week. The old electrical panels were
removed and the mezzanine was totally rebuilt for the mechanical
room. The main interior block wall is almost complete.

as of October 31, 2009 -
Plumbers have installed vent piping and have started on running the
over head water lines. The electricians have started installing
electrical conduits for the lighting and staying ahead of the masons
as they lay block in the interior of the science labs. As of Friday
the 30th four interior door frames are in place as the
masonry crews put up the walls. Crews have cut out the wall were the
exterior door of the science lab will be installed.

as of October 23, 2009 - This week the
steel crew was able to install the red iron in the science labs and
completed the job two days ahead of the schedule which allowed the
support scaffolding to be removed. Now it is ready for the masons to
start their work inside. This is good news, because even if it rains
the masons will be able to work inside laying block with the
plumbers and electricians.

-The
construction at the school has been hampered by all the rain the
past two weeks. Numerous attempts were made to make some progress.

as of September 11, 2009 -
The rough plumbing in the old Ag shop should be completed this week.
Approximately half of the gas lines have been tested and backfilling
the ditches are almost complete. Electricians started Friday.

as of September 18, 2009 -
Contractors were not able to work outside this week due to rain. In
the old Ag shop (new science labs) the concrete was poured back into
the trenches. The trenches had been dug in that area to lay the pipe
for plumbing and electrical conduits.

as of September 4, 2009 - Construction in the old Ag area is
progressing with gas lines and drain pipes in. Electricians will
start Tuesday, September 8 on electrical conduits.
Science Lab Expansion
updates as of August 28, 2009 - The old Ag shop and the two
attached classrooms have been gutted this summer in preparation for the
new science labs and classroom. Sub floor work is taking place to
install plumbing for the labs.
